KUALA LUMPUR: Three Form Six students of a school in Nilai, Negri Sembilan, were injured after they were said to have been assaulted by a group of men in the school compound.

The father of one of the victims, ASP Zulkarnain Ismail from the Management Department of the Kuala Lumpur police headquarters, claimed that his son was assaulted by three men in their 20s after he tried to help his friend who was assaulted earlier.

“I was told by my son the incident occurred after a Form Three student was not happy after being told not to make noise by one of the victims who was then on duty as a facilitator for a school programme.

“The (Form Three) student then contacted his elder brother who later came to the school with two others before assaulting the Form Six student,” he said yesterday.

Zulkarnain said his son and another friend who tried to help the victim, Mohd Salman Mohd Ismail, 18, suffered bruises and swellings.

Mohd Salman said he was overseeing an activity when one of the three suspects approached him and punched him repeatedly.

All the victims lodged police reports at the Nilai police station. They received outpatient treatment at the Hospital Tuanku Jaafar, Seremban. — Bernama
